Pack Training & Socialisation
Here at REAL DOGS we know how important socialisation is for dogs of all shapes, sizes, personalities and life stages.
While we aim to both physically exercise and socialise your dog, we also implement training and leadership on our pack training & socialisation sessions. By mentally challenging your dog, we can build a foundation and expectation of good manners and behaviour so that we make YOUR life with your dog easier.
We also love educating owners. The more information we put out, the more well behaved, happy dogs and people living awesome lives with their companions there are in the world!
From puppies and happy go lucky or boisterous dogs, to dogs with behavioural issues such as reactivity, anxiety or aggression, we don’t exclude or discriminate. There is amazing potential in all dogs and we work with them to get them into the pack where they thrive.

Our Services
1. Meet & Greet
The first step on your dog’s pack training & socialisation journey! We meet you in person or via zoom and have a chat. This session is so you can get to know us a bit and ask any questions.
Duration 20 – 30 minutes
Our meet and greet is free of charge
2. Assessment
We take your dog out on a solo session to get to know them and form a relationship, do some basic training and see what they are like in different environments. Includes pickup and drop-off to your home/work within service area.
Duration 30-40 mins
Cost $65
3. Walk & Train
For those dogs who need a bit more 1-1 help before they join the pack. We will let you know after their Assessment if this is required.
Duration 30-40 mins

4. Pack Training & Socialisation
When your dog is ready to join the pack they will get a mixture of on leash walks in a variety of environments. Includes pickup and drop-off to your home/work within service area.
Duration: Minimum 2h (actual training/socialisation time)
Cost: Standard $50
Behavioural $55*
*”Behavioural” means that your dog needs an extra level of training/management. While we aim for all our pack members to progress quickly through to the standard rate, some dogs may need a bit more time and training in order to become comfortable in the pack.
5. Private In Home Consultations
While most of our clients find their dogs progress in the pack is more than they dreamed they could achieve, some find that they would like a little more help in and around the home to achieve their specific goals.
Pack Training & Socialisation clients:
Cost $80 per hour (minimum 1h)
Non Pack Training & Socialisation clients:
Basic Training Program
Suitable for dogs with minor issues such pulling on lead, not listening or lack of manners
Not suitable for dogs with more serious issues such as reactivity/aggression, resource guarding or major anxiety/fearfulness.
For the DIY-er. Intensive 1-1 sessions in your home where I show you how to achieve results with your dog. You do the work 😉
Includes:
- FREE 20-30min phone or video assessment: we want to make sure you get the right help you need.
- 2x in-home consultations spaced 2 weeks apart (must be used within 1 month).

Cost $500
Puppy Program
Suitable for puppies up to 12 weeks of age at time of first consult
Includes:

6. Board & Train Program
Our most comprehensive and reliable program. Your dog comes to stay with us from 4-6 weeks where we work them through their issues. Your dog is immersed in training in a pack environment 24/7. During that time you will be regularly updated on their progress and will have homework to complete yourself. Remember it’s not just about changing your dog’s behaviour, it’s also about changing your behaviour as the owner and learning a brand new set of skills. Our goal is to have your dog return to you in a calm and balanced state of mind who is an enjoyable companion.

- Socialization with dogs/people/different environments/other animals
- Appropriate dog-dog interactions
- Learning to self-settle
Costs: 4 weeks $3,000
6 weeks $4,500
Includes:
- E-collar
- Training lead
- Raised bed
- Go-home consultation
- 4 week follow up consultation
- Ongoing email support
7. Homestays $60 per night (2 night minimum)*
Your dog’s home away from home. If you’re going out of town, have an event or just need a bit of break, homestays are the best way to make sure your dog is cared for and that their structure and training is maintained while you are away. You dog will stay with me and my personal pack in my home. Every day we will do some Pack Training & Socialisation. Your dog won’t want to go home!
*Please note this service is only available to current Pack Training & Socialisation clients and dogs who have completed a Board & Train program with us.
